Twelve

I think I know what nerves feel like.
12 hours until my first plane takes off headed to Montreal.
It's so surreal, I can't believe I'm actually going.
So that's it, 12 hours.
So many hours down and only 12 to go.

Ah, I can do this!

I just want to be in Africa already!

Rain Delays

Today,
I felt as if I was sitting at an airport staring at the Arriving and Departures board.  It felt like I was watching the flights on the board change from "On Time" to "Delayed".  Everything I had planned to do today either didn't happen or was "delayed".  It was chain reaction that lasted all day.  1:00 p.m. become 4:30 p.m. in a blink of an eye and I had accomplished very little.
Nothing really happened today.
I think the sound of the rain got to me.  It had no end and it just seemed to drain on. Haha, no pun intended!

Nevertheless, life goes on.  The rain continues.  Sometimes days like this are necessary.  Although, I guess I am talking about yesterday since it's 12:09.  Seriously, where the time go?

Oh well.

The good thing is, just because it's delayed doesn't mean it won't get here. When the timing is right, things will happen! Which is good enough for me.
Goodnight!

"So, do you know where we are going?"

Today has already been quite eventful.
And no, half the time I did not know where I was going.  At all.
To sum it up, my friend and I woke up at 6 to catch the 7 o'clock bus to get downtown
for 8:30.
We bused through downtown and found ourselves on a sketchy block being yelled at
by a few men across the intersection.
Laughing at the fact that we might aswell consider ourselves lost, we walked a few blocks and
thankfully got on the bus that we were intending to take in the first place.
Off we go again to try and find our destination, far off in the westside.
We got there with about an hour to spare, oh joy!
So what do we do?
Go to starbucks of course.  Thank goodness for free internet!
We sat there for a while and let our rain-drenched clothes soak in.
It was lovely.
After finding the place we did what we set out to do in the first place.
Buy a truck.
Katie-Sue bought the coolest truck today.  Getting there was pretty crazy.
We did the unexpected..we rode in this stranger's truck.  Well not necessarily stranger... We had known him for half an hour and he was the one who sold her the truck. So not really any "stranger danger" in my opinion.
Then we drove around aimlessly, trying really really hard to find our way back to North Vancouver.
Pringe Georgians do not drive well in busy city streets, no offense.
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.  It was incredbily eventful and it's only 2:14 p.m.

It was wonderful!

until another rainy day,

Kato aka LOOSER
So you are leaving for Rwanda in a matter of lots of days. (okay so I'm retarded and don't know the exact number, sorry) and crikey, I'm stoked for you. Someday when you and I are out of high school we're going to take an old truck and drive, drive, drive. Maybe we won't even have a plan or destination... but heck with it. Let's be spontaneous. Sound good? Good.
I'm not amazing at writing big posts. You'll have to teach me the art of writing cool stuff so I don't end up sounding like a ree-ree.

An end to the summer nights

The wonderful season we call Summer is coming to and end.  What a great one Summer it was at that!  How I will miss the warm nights and the late sunsets but I eagerly await the stove fires and hot cocoa.  I have learnt a lot in the last 2 months and I can't wait to see what amazing things occur in the fall months.  I am excited for the events I have planned but I am also even more excited for the spontanious events that will take place in the time to come!  It's different now that I have a schedule to follow and less time to do the things I love but I intend to make time and not let myself get too stressed!  I'm looking forward to it and I will keep you posted on the things I find myself doing!  Oh and by the way.. 18 days!
